Delivering a Behaviour Management Workshop for Trainee Teachers

Educational Workshops and Teacher Support

  • Do you feel rundown, tired and stressed even after 4 weeks off?
  • Do you sit on your sofa unable to switch off from the overwhelming expectation of teaching?
  • Maybe you’re a line manager struggling to motive your staff or deal with managerial pressures?

You can’t explain your tiredness and fatigue and no amount of ‘catch up sleep’ (if you can get it) seems to refresh you. Family and friends talk to you but you’re not present. You feel sluggish, deflated and trapped. You live in a constant six week countdown cycle until your next school holiday, not actually taking time to enjoy the moment and you find yourself repeating ‘well, only 3 weeks, 2 days and 2 periods left’. The truth is, you’re already probably experiencing BURN OUT!

I understand and with 15 years of experience as an educator, I have witnessed the devastating effects of stressful and seemingly unachievable workloads! If you are struggling with your anxiety, self confidence or need help in learning to relax and manage your workload… I can help you.

Online technologies, AI and digital systems have significantly increased the shear workload and expectation of front line teaching staff. Attendance, SEND, form tutor responsabilities, reporting, data analysis, endless e-mails and surveys all before we have even looked at our own lessons plans, curriculum maps, resources etc. Have I neglected to mention that I haven’t taken into consideration the behavioural interactions with students, staff and parents yet?

THERE IS HOPE AND A WAY TO COPE! CBT and Hypnotherapy has a significant impact on your ability to relax, deal with stress and improve your assertiveness. The truth is that we do work in incredibly pressured environments with a significant workload but you can learn the skills needed to take control of your work environment and re-visit your love of teaching. Learn to say ‘No’, learn effective and manageable relaxation exercises, build your self-confidence and apply coping strategies to help you and your colleagues with workload and interactions.

The concept of ‘work/life balance’ is a sloppy and misguided statement. Yes, we would like more money and yes, we would like less work. However, we all have different lives and responsibilities and cannot compare workloads with other peoples personal lives. It is up to you to take control of your own health and well-being.

Workshops are designed to be deliver a collective and comprehensive approach to Psychotherapy, whether it is for a specific professional industry or specific topic.
